Nelle Laurent is a British-Belgian artist. She completed an MA in photography at the Royal College of Art after having obtained a BA at the Glasgow School of Art.

Her practice primarily revolves around a hands-on approach to analogue photography. Memory and the passage of time are the main themes reflected in her projects as she plays on their intrinsic relation to the medium of photography. The experimental and tactile nature of her work seeks to engage audiences in a more dynamic manner and open up a conversation about the role and possibilities of photography.

Her work can be described as sequences of passive observations and visual note-taking, ranging on matters as banal as our daily rhythms and human exchanges, to the more personal and complex subjects of anxiety and belonging.
